| Job Summary | You must be a current UK student to apply for this position. This position is located off-campus with a local Lexington employer and is not affiliated with UK. Salt & Vinegar and Ethereal Brewing are teaming up again to open a new concept: Ethereal Slice House on UK Campus and will be featuring brick oven pizza, pasta and salads. The ideal candidate will be a team player who is eager to work side by side with other team members. We are looking for someone who is reliable, takes initiative, and has a positive attitude. This position will report to the VP of Food Service Operations. Job Responsibilities: - Prepare and cook menu items following recipe measurements, including presentation, cooking temperature and presentation guidelines. Follow proper food handling procedures at all times, including all federal regulations and local regulations. - Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and equipment. Prepare ingredients to use in cooking. Clean up workstations and work area at end of shift. - Participate in weekly inventory reviews and line production reviews. Participate in line production training as needed. - Assist in the production kitchen as needed. Assist other departments as needed including line cooks, dishwashers, etc.. Assist in the kitchen as needed. Assist other departments as needed including line cooks, dishwashers, etc.. - Other duties as assigned by manager that may require them to include cleaning of kitchen at end of shift and regular cleaning of facility per company standards per local law. | Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | - Ability to work in a fast paced environment with good communication skills and attention to detail is a must! Must be able to follow instructions and be very detail oriented! Must be able to follow recipes exactly! Must be able to work well with others! Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted! - Ability to stand for long periods of time (8 hours or more) without any noticeable discomfort or pain. Ability to lift 50 pounds without assistance! |
