Your new role

Does the idea of helping students broaden their horizons and set themselves up for future career and life success excite you? If so, this could be the role for you!

We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Student Experience Advisor – Outreach & Engagement to join the Faculty of Business and Law's Student Engagement team. In this position, you will play a key role in attracting future students (domestic and international) through dynamic outreach programs and strategic relationship building.

Collaborating with University Marketing, Academic Teaching Teams, High Schools and partners, you'll develop and maintain relationships with high school teachers, industry professionals, and community groups across Western Australia. You will also coordinate and support activities that enrich the entire student lifecycle, from seamless transitions and orientation to fostering intra- and extra-curricular development and engagement across university life.

Please note you may be required to travel regionally for industry related events, and you may also be required to work outside normal operating hours (after hours and weekends).

In this role, you will:

  • Administer and support strategic initiatives to enhance student experiences, attract high-performing students, promote career connection, and foster relationships with students and graduates.
  • Implement strategies and facilitate workshops to attract and recruit future students through engagement with high schools, industry and university stakeholders, in collaboration with the University Marketing Future Students team.
  • Provide essential administrative support for event logistics, including room bookings, catering, and resource procurement, while ensuring thorough risk assessments and maintaining health and safety standards.
  • Utilise marketing automation, marketing analytics and digital platforms to employ Account Based Marketing (ABM) principles and techniques to achieve University undergraduate recruitment targets.
  • Support the team with a range of events such as Open Day, Orientations and prospective student events.
  • Implement and evaluate outreach programs, working with appropriate CRM database systems (SONIA, Campaign Monitor, Oracle Right Now) to capture information accurately.
  • We are looking for (the ideal candidate):

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to confidently liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to work autonomously, as well collaboratively as part of an energetic and creative team.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Previous experience or familiarity with high school engagement, teaching or supporting students with pathways and choice (desired).
  • A valid driver's license (desired).
  • A valid Working With Children Card or willingness to obtain one (required).
  • As this is a continuing (permanent) role, you will require permanent work rights in Australia to be considered. Only in limited situations will visa sponsorship situations be considered.
