Position Title Student Assistant for MSE (Work-Study)

Position Summary

The Student Office Assistant assists in the daily operations of the School of Mathematics, Science, and Engineering Dean's Office.

This position is funded by the Federal Work-Study program and is open to UIW students who are approved and eligible to participate in the Federal Work- Study Program.

Essential Functions

-Provides daily office support to the Administrative Assistant and to the Dean; -Performs campus deliveries to Print Shop, Business Office, Accounts Payable, mail-room, etc.; -Filing, data entry; -Scanning; copying of documents; -Support a friendly, student-oriented environment; -Perform other duties as assigned.

-Possess good oral, written, and communication skills; -Attention to details; -Ability to learn quickly and efficiently -Ability to maintain confidentiality and reliability; -Organizational skills and problem-solving; -Ability to exercise confidentiality when communicating with employees, students, and faculty; -Ability to work in a team environment; -Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures; -Employees shall adhere to all rules and regulations of the Univerisity, the Conference, and the NCAA

Required Education

Current UIW student approved and eligible to participate in the Federal Work- Study program

Required Work Experience

-No previous work experience required; training is available.

Preferred Qualifications

-Working knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations Work Hours

  • The assigned work schedule is dependent upon the academic schedule of the Office hours are incumbent;
  • Office hours are Monday through Friday between 8 am – 5 pm.
