  • Position Summary:

    Do you want to join an exciting, positive, and collaborative team? As part of UAF eCampus, the Student Content Creator will focus on social media, communication tools and promotional channels. We are looking for a student content creator to help lead UAF eCampus's social media presence and provide expert feedback on other communication platforms. You'll use graphic design, writing, and photo and video techniques to be an engaging voice.

    Duties:

    100Social Media Management: Curate, create, edit and proofread content for social media projects. Follow guidelines for tone, style and voice of all content. Identify, plan and execute social media initiatives to build and increase engagement with UAF eCampus on social media platforms. Ensure social media content is accessible. Content Creation: Create multimedia content, including videos, GIFs, graphics, photos and audio pieces, for use on UAF eCampus's social platforms. Contribute to UAF eCampus newsletters, blogs, media, etc.Essential

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Skilled with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.
  • Working knowledge of social media best practices.
  • Create and curate content in real-time and integrate that content into multiple social channels.
  • Be fluent in the culture and function of multiple social media platforms and communities.
  • Some photography skill and experience.
  • Eye for modern photography, video, and design.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Dependable and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work as part of a team and individually, with the ability to take initiative and follow through on projects.
  • Preferred Experience & Education:

    Demonstrated proficiency in video/audio/photo editing and capture, basic graphic design, and mobile phone photo and video capabilities.

    Required Experience & Education:

    Demonstrated experience using social media. Students majoring in communications, marketing, English, journalism or graphic design are highly encouraged to apply and get hands-on experience.

    Applicants must be enrolled as UAF students taking a minimum of 6 credits per semester with a minimum GPA of 2.0 or a newly enrolled student.

    Salary Information:

    This is a part-time, Student Assistant position; pay is $15.26 per hour, step 16, based on education and experience.
