Speech and Hearing Clinic Receptionist
We are currently seeking experienced receptionists to add to our casual pool. Work in a supportive, dynamic, service focused environment.
Working as part of a team, our receptionists are important roles supporting the operations of the Speech and Hearing Clinic at Macquarie University through high volume customer service and administrative support.
Key accountabilities include (not limited to):
Provide best practice reception and administrative services for the Clinic and its activities following Clinic protocols.
Manage the booking of appointments to ensure effective use of clinic rooms for clinicians and student placements.
About You
Ideally, you will have previous reception and administration experience. Experience within a healthcare setting, preferably hearing and/or speech pathology, is desirable but not essential. You will be an enthusiastic and professional individual who enjoys interacting with clients to provide best practice customer service in each interaction. You will enjoy working in a lively environment, have excellent organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise work whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy.
About Us
The Macquarie University Speech and Hearing Clinic provides best-practice clinical services in Audiology and Speech Pathology. The clinic is designed to deliver high quality integrated health services and excellence in clinical education. Clients are seen by either Audiologists or Speech Pathologists with students under supervision as part of their Master's degree programs. Housed in the state-of-the-art Australian Hearing Hub, the Clinic has excellent facilities and is located alongside key partners. The Clinic offers a comprehensive range of diagnostic and rehabilitative speech pathology and audiology services to people of all ages with speech and hearing difficulties. We have 7 audiologists and 7 speech pathologists supported by 3 administrative staff. We also have approximately 200 student clinical placements on site per year. Our services help Australians to participate in everyday life – at home, at school, at work or socially.
