Background of the recruitment and description of the project Background of the recruitment and description of the project The International Platform for Dryland Research and Education (IPDRE) was established in January 2015 with the aim of becoming the nation's leading research and education platform for drylands and developing countries, which are our primary areas of focus. This platform brings together faculty members from all university faculties, the Organization for Educational Support and International Affairs, and the Organization for Research Initiative and Promotion. IPDRE is dedicated to interdisciplinary research and education, leveraging the state-of-the-art research facilities and achievements of Tottori University's Arid Land Research Center. This research center specializes in addressing global issues related to drylands, such as desertification.
