Salary range: The salary range for this position is $51,300-$181,800. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table https: // sites.uci.edu/academicpersonnel/files/2023/02/spec-v2.pdf. “Off- scale salaries”, i.e. a salary that is higher than the published system-wide salary at the designated rank and step, are offered when necessary to meet competitive conditions.

Position descriptionThe Department of Family Medicine, University of California Irvine School of Medicine, anticipates openings in the Specialist Series (Junior, Assistant, Associate, and Full Specialist). The ideal candidate should be self-driven and motivated. This is an ongoing recruitment. Rank will be determined by qualifications and experience. Renewal is based on availability of extramural funding. • Junior Specialists - Should possess a baccalaureate degree (or equivalent degree) or equivalent research experience. • Assistant Specialists - Should possess a master's degree (or equivalent degree), or 5 yrs. of experience. • Associate Specialists - Should possess a master's degree (or equivalent degree) or 5-10 yrs. of experience. • Specialists - Should possess a terminal degree (PhD/MD) (or equivalent degree) or 10+ yrs. of experience
