Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine-Statewide Campus System is seeking a qualified academic specialist that provides educational leadership in the development and implementation of educational programs, their design and administration, while supports institutional research efforts to improve the quality of osteopathic training within the SCS. This academic specialist will develop graduate medical education for residents and support research for community-based hospital residency programs. Will also provide educational support in the development and implementation of educational programs, research and administration while participating in academic and scholarly work. The position will be 40% curriculum development; 30% Administrative; 25% Outreach; 5% Research/Scholarly Activity.

Required Degree

Masters

Minimum Requirements

Masters degree in education or related field, minimum two years in education and/or work experience in a medical education setting. Demonstrated ability to plan and coordinate educational events with specialty groups. High level of interpersonal, verbal, visual and written communication skills Experience with a wide range of computer software, hardware, and computing tools Must be familiar with the following technologies: D2L or other learning management systems Google Apps and other cloud-based software Online communication tools (Zoom, Google+, etc.).

Desired Qualifications

Masters Degree and/or graduate degree. Applicants will be ranked based on education, experience, commitment to working as part of a team, commitment to resident education, and excellence in communication and leadership skills.
