We are pleased to offer this placement year or graduate opportunity to enable University of Brighton building construction/ architectural design students or graduate to expand on their knowledge of space management and building maintenance in a complex environment.

You will predominantly assist the Space Management and Project Managers/Surveying teams in the design, planning, allocation and management of all space throughout the University. More specifically, you will capture, challenge and interpret space change requirements, developing and implementing innovative space planning and interior design solutions to the estate and assisting the team to deliver the projects required to support this, seeing your plans become a reality. You will also assist with the planning, design and delivery of maintenance and alteration projects.

To succeed in the role, you will have a knowledge of effective administrative procedures, databases and spreadsheet packages and of design software such as CAD. The ability to communicate in an understandable way with a particular ability to explain complex procedures and processes is essential, as is detailed and accurate presentation and finishing skills.
