In the School of Creative Arts, our strengths often lie in our differences, so we challenge and champion each other to be the very best we can be. We're looking for a Social Media Coordinator to help us propel the School into a new era of success. You'll work alongside talented and experienced colleagues to ensure the delivery of highly creative social-first marketing communications. You'll live and breathe ideas, organisation, self-motivation and teamwork and will be as comfortable with managing calendars and teams of student Content Creators as you will be crafting and delivering creative campaigns.

As Social Media Coordinator in the School of Creative Arts, you will be responsible for concepting and creating social campaigns for the School social media channels including Instagram, Tik Tok, X, Facebook and Youtube. You'll manage the channels, whilst also coordinating a team of student Content Creators to produce and deliver content within set parameters as well as building and managing relationships with stakeholders internally and externally.

You'll be confident at writing copy, as wel as sourcing and editing content ready for publication online, and will need to stay up-to-date with social and cultural trends and industry best practice. You'll be required to raise the profile of the School by increasing social media engagement with the student community, and develop and implement strategies to effectively engage with current students via social media channels, whilst tracking, analysing and reporting on performance on a regular basis.

Skills and experience

We're looking for a social-first creative thinker with a proven record of creating engaging and relevant social media content, ideally for a company or brand. You'll be a confident writer, with the ability to produce high quality visual and written content to guidelines. You'll have excellent video, photography and editing skills, as well as competency in MS Office and image editing apps.

You'll need to be well organised and have attention to detail under pressure, as well as having a flexible attitude to working hours and availability to attend weekend and evening activities as required (equivalent time off in lieu is given for working non-standard hours). You'll be a good communicator with a knack for building positives relationships with colleagues.

Qualifications required

Will Hold a minimum of five GCSEs at grade C/4 or above including Maths and English, or proven experience. It would be desirable for the chosen applicant to hold a degree or proven experience in a relevant field, i.e media, production, journalism, marketing, communications, public relations, graphic design or fashion communications.
