INTRODUCTORY PARAGRAPH
The Digital Engagement team within The New School's Marketing & Communications department manages the university's numerous social media channels. The team uses these channels, which include Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok, to engage with prospective and current students, showcase the work of New School community members, and promote the university to new audiences.
Reporting to the Digital Content Producer (Social Media), the Social Media Assistant position is a part-time, Hybrid (some on-campus work required) graduate student position that will support content development, production, and publishing for The New School's social media channels. The social media landscape is constantly evolving, and this person will also be expected to assist in keeping up with new trends, platforms, and changes that arise.
This is a part-time, hourly position with a weekly schedule of 10-20 hours per week, beginning shortly as soon as possible in the Spring 2023 semester.
