DUTIES

The School of Nursing, Master of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner program requires the services of a Subject Matter Expert to teach the theory in NURS 5320: Advanced Pathophysiology.

The focus of NURS 5320 is on an integrated approach to developing the foundational knowledge of advanced pathophysiology required to support clinical reasoning in advanced health assessment related to conditions commonly encountered in primary care practice across the lifespan.

Experience teaching nurse practitioner students is an asset.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • PhD (or equivalent) is preferred
  • MNNP qualification is required
  • Current NP registration in a Canadian jurisdiction in good standing without limits or conditions, and/or eligibility for registration with BCCNM
  • Three (3) years full time or equivalent in the role of a Nurse Practitioner
  • Evidence of continuous learning in your area of nursing
  • An understanding of, and experience in, the Canadian healthcare system
  • Pay Band

    $2,500.48 - $2,500.48 ( Sessional Faculty - Academic (per credit) )
