DUTIES
RESPONSIBILITIES
Thompson Rivers University is seeking a sessional faculty member who will teach a three-credit course: ECED 1360: Curriculum Development in Lillooet, British Columbia from March 3, 2025, to May 9, 2025.
Calendar description:
Students examine the principles to develop, implement and evaluate a play- based program with key concepts in language and literacy and music and movement across the curriculum. Students learn theory and gain practical knowledge to plan activities in which young children can explore sound, movement, music, books, stories, drama, and beginning literacy, within the context of the whole program for children.
As the work requires travel to Lillooet every other week, travel expenses, meals, and accommodation are provided.
QUALIFICATIONS
Of particular interest are those who have successful experience working collaboratively with ECE faculty to support ECE students in planning and implementing innovative educational programs for young children. Experience supporting and evaluating student progress in on-site and community based practica and liaising with community educators regarding student progress is significantly valued.
