Base salary will be in the range $ 130,046 - $137,525 + 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 9)

The Senior Training Consultant position offers a unique leadership opportunity to drive the training strategy and delivery for one of the most transformative programs at UQ – the MyTime@UQ Program. This role will see you leading a specialised team responsible for designing and delivering training across multiple projects, directly impacting payroll and workforce management processes. You will play a key role in shaping the training strategy, ensuring it aligns with the program's change management objectives, and ultimately embedding the training into UQ's operational landscape.
In this dynamic role, you will work collaboratively with key stakeholders, including senior leaders, to create tailored training experiences that cater to diverse audiences, from academic to professional staff, while considering complex operational priorities. You will also evaluate the effectiveness of the training provided and make recommendations for continuous improvement. As part of your responsibilities, you will lead training for new functions and roles, ensuring all support materials are in place for successful implementation.

Key responsibilities will include :
Lead the development and implementation of the training strategy, ensuring alignment with the MyTime@UQ Program's change management objectives and effectively embedding training in UQ's operations for payroll and workforce management.
Analyse training needs across multiple projects and create tailored training solutions for diverse audiences, including new roles and functions within the program's operating model.
Deliver impactful training sessions, particularly to senior leaders across UQ, and manage train-the-trainer programs to ensure successful knowledge transfer and adoption.
Evaluate training effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance training outcomes and sustain capabilities across the university.

Strong strategic thinking abilities, with a focus on aligning training programs with broader change management goals to ensure long-term success.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a proven track record in delivering training to senior leaders and diverse stakeholder groups.
Skilled in analysing training needs and developing tailored learning solutions for a variety of audiences, including new roles and functions.
In-depth understanding of legislative and policy frameworks, with the ability to translate them into practical, engaging training content.
Results-driven, with a commitment to continuous improvement and a demonstrated ability to evaluate and enhance training effectiveness.
The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre- employment checks, including right to work in Australia and a criminal check.
