Senior Technical Officer/Technical Officer (several posts) in the Division of Public Health Laboratory Sciences, School of Public Health (Ref.: 526898) (to commence as soon as possible on a one-year temporary basis or a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree or above in biological/biomedical sciences, biochemistry or related disciplines with at least 3 years' relevant work experience in cell culture and molecular biology. Experience in primary cell isolation, flow cytometry, animal handling and handling microbial pathogens in BSL-2 and 3 laboratories would be an advantage. Those with a lower qualification and/or less work experience may be appointed as Technical Officer.

The appointees will work on projects related to influenza and coronavirus under the supervision of Prof. Michael C.W. Chan and Prof. Kenrie P.Y. Hui.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointments on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
