Who we are looking for: We are seeking an organised and engaging professional with experience in career development, employability, student learning or a related field. The successful applicant will be confident designing and delivering programs, managing projects, and building strong relationships with students, staff, employers and industry partners.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the design, delivery and continuous improvement of student-focused employability, leadership and enrichment programs that enhance career readiness, personal development and engagement across undergraduate, postgraduate and MBA cohorts.
  • Identify and respond to student skill development needs by delivering targeted, evidence-informed initiatives shaped by stakeholder feedback, sector research and Faculty priorities.
  • Develop high-quality program content, learning resources and supporting materials aligned with contemporary employability trends and relevant to diverse student cohorts and disciplines.
  • Provide strategic oversight and practical support for in-curricular employability initiatives, working closely with academic staff, Course Leads and Directors to embed meaningful student development opportunities.
  • Plan and deliver student engagement initiatives, including communications, events and promotional campaigns, ensuring activities are aligned with Faculty goals and student needs.
  • Manage internal and external resources for assigned programs, including procurement of third-party services, budget monitoring and compliance with University policies and procedures.
  • Build and maintain productive partnerships with Faculty and University stakeholders, industry and alumni to strengthen program delivery and improve student outcomes.
  • Monitor, evaluate and report on program performance and impact, using data and insights to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
  • Champion student participation in Faculty-led employability, leadership and enrichment activities through targeted promotional strategies and inclusive engagement approaches.
  • Contribute to Faculty-wide planning and policy development related to student experience, and provide advice to senior leaders on emerging trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Undertake other activities reasonably required and consistent with the accountabilities and responsibilities of the role.
  • To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Demonstrated experience or strong understanding of career development, employability, student learning or a related field.
  • Experience designing, delivering and evaluating learning, development or engagement programs for diverse audiences.
  • Confident facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to engage participants and create a positive learning environment.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills, including the ability to coordinate plans, manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes within deadlines.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to build effective relationships with students, staff, employers, industry representatives and professional networks.
  • Effective written communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear project reports, plans and supporting materials.
  • A high degree of emotional intelligence, sound judgement and the ability to work constructively with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • A collaborative team approach, including the ability to support others, accept direction and contribute to shared goals.
  • Sound decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and recommend practical solutions.
  • Desirable:

  • A relevant qualification or credential in career development, learning and development, education, student engagement or a related discipline.
  • Role Requirements:

  • As this is a continuing (permanent) role, you will require permanent work rights in Australia to be considered. This is a full-time role; however, flexible work arrangements, including adjustment to 0.8 FTE, can be discussed.
