Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences
Applications are invited for the position of Senior Researcher in Global Primary Care, to work with Professor Michael Kidd AO on the newly established Global Primary Care research theme within the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences. This research group has responsibility for carrying out research, policy development, advocacy and teaching in global primary care, digital health and the development of future health systems.
The successful applicant will have established research interests in both global primary care and digital health, and will act as lead for research on aspects of global primary care, both leading and collaborating on relevant studies that influence health policy, and generating income accordingly. Responsibilities will include contributing to the on-going development of the Global Primary Care theme and leading rapid policy evaluation and analysis work. In addition, the successful candidate will take a leading role in the DPhil Programme providing senior academic oversight to the linked PhD programme within the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences.
You will have a relevant PhD/DPhil with significant post-qualification research experience and a track record of successful health and medical research grant applications within the United Kingdom and a demonstrated understanding of national health and medical research funding opportunities.
You will be based in the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, Radcliffe Primary Care Building, Woodstock Road, Oxford, OX2 6GG as your normal place of work with the opportunity to agree a pattern of regular remote working with your line manager.
The position is funded by the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences for a fixed-term of 5 years.
