About Us

RIX Inclusive Research Institute is a ground-breaking Research and Development Centre dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. At the heart of our mission is a dedication to using digital and multi-media technologies to empower those often marginalised in society. By leading research initiatives and forging collaborative partnerships, RIX aims to co-develop software and training that harnesses the potential of digital tools for the benefit of people with intellectual disabilities.

The vision of RIX is centred on encouraging inclusion, independence, and an improved quality of life for individuals facing learning challenges. We champion the transformative power of multi-media advocacy tools, emphasising the importance of person-centred approaches to care and support. Passionate about the myriad ways in which digital tools enable self-expression and community participation, RIX seeks to bring a new way of thinking in how care is provided.
