    York Trials Unit (YTU) is a leading UK Clinical Research Collaboration (UKCRC) registered trials unit, renowned for its expertise in conducting randomised controlled trials of complex interventions. Our team is dedicated to advancing health research by providing comprehensive support, advice, and collaboration from the pre-application stage to post-application for researchers across England through the NIHR RSS.

    The Opportunity

    As a Senior Research Fellow, you will spearhead the design and execution of efficient and inclusive trials, focusing on complex interventions. Your leadership will be pivotal in developing best practices, fostering collaboration with health and care practitioners, and enhancing trial efficiency and inclusivity. This role offers a unique chance to establish your own research program while making significant contributions to the NIHR RSS.

  • Essential Qualifications and Skills
  • Academic qualifications: PhD in a relevant health research area or an MSc with equivalent experience.
  • Expertise: In-depth knowledge of trial design and delivery, efficient methods and approaches, and inclusive research practices.
  • Funding: Proven experience in securing significant external research funding.
  • Impactful Research: A strong track record of high-quality, impactful research outputs.
  • Collaboration: Experience incorporating patient and public involvement in research.
