Applications are invited for the appointment as Senior Research Assistant/Research Assistant I/II (several posts) (to commence as soon as possible, on a one-year temporary term with the possibility of renewal)

The appointees will join Professor Terry Lum's Social Capital research team to explore both the social and the societal resources for individuals of the elderly population, various youth groups and ethical diversities in the Chinese/Asian context. They will be responsible for data collection, focus groups, literature review, liaison with local NGOs, analysis of research data, and performing other duties as assigned.

Applicants for Senior Research Assistant should possess a Bachelor's degree in Geography, Public Policy, Sociology, Public Administration, Statistics or a related discipline with three years' post-qualification experience or a Master's degree in the above fields with one year's post-qualification experience. They should also have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese), strong analytical skills, experience conducting various quantitative data analyses, and the ability to work independently and as a team. Those with lower qualifications and/or less experience may be considered for appointment as Research Assistant I or II.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
