Applications are invited for the appointment as Senior Research Assistant/Research Assistant I/II (to commence as soon as possible, on a one-year temporary term with the possibility of renewal)
The appointee will join our Social Capital research team to study social capital in the Chinese/Asian context. S/he will be responsible for literature review, conducting various assessments and focus groups, importing data from GPS devices, analysing research data, and performing other duties as assigned. Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree or above in Geography, Public Policy, Sociology, Public Administration, Statistics or a related discipline with three years' post-qualification experience or a Master's degree in the above fields with one year's post-qualification experience. They should also have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese), strong analytical skills, experience conducting various quantitative data analyses, and the ability to work independently and as a team. Those with lower qualifications and/or less experience may be considered for appointment as Research Assistant I or II. Applicants who responded to the previous ad (Ref. 524107) need not re-apply.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
