Senior Research Assistant (holding the functional title of Project Manager) in the Hong Kong Jockey Club Centre for Suicide Research and Prevention within the Faculty of Social Sciences (Ref.: 526487 )

We now invite applications for the captioned post to assist in Jockey Club Online Youth Emotional Support “Open Up” project which is funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • assist the co-convenor to monitor and coordinate the entire project
  • implement the project proposal and track the progress of deliverables
  • coordinate research activities and project evaluation
  • liaise with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the project execution
  • prepare and compile proposals, reports, articles, presentation deck and other documents
  • organize meetings and events, including symposiums and seminars
  • conduct budget forecasting and financial reporting
  • perform administrative tasks and other duties as assigned
  • Requirements

  • a good Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Mental Health, Psychology, Social Policy or related disciplines with at least 6 years of relevant experience in project management, staff supervision, budget forecasting and financial reporting and report writing; or a Master's degree with at least 4 years of aforementioned work experience.

  • a detail-oriented and analytical mindset
  • excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese)
  • Research experience in mental health projects in Hong Kong would be an advantage

    The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a 1.5-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
