    An opportunity has now arisen for a Senior Public Affairs Adviser (Civic) to join our busy Public Affairs team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing the University's civic engagement strategy including across our ambitious Estates vision, broader community engagement, visits and events.

    The Public Affairs team delivers a diverse range of activities and our stakeholders are just as varied as the projects we work on. You will play a key role in deepening relationships with our eternal stakeholders from the community, local authority, local government, and strategic partners, as well as working across other wider public affairs activity.

    The Person

    As an accomplished stakeholder engagement professional, you will be a proactive self-starter and confident networker. You will have consultancy or in-house experience in a similar role and possess in-depth knowledge of planning communications and related stakeholder groups, ideally within the Kingston area. You enjoy working collaboratively, including with internal teams and external consultancies to deliver across key projects.

    With superb relationship management skills, you will have the confidence to work with local stakeholders, including councillors, officers, community groups, and residents. An excellent writer, you will be committed to producing meaningful stakeholder communications for a variety of audiences.

    You will be passionate about building in-person relationships, and ideally have event and visit management experience. You enjoy creating impactful visitor experiences and thrive working collaboratively with a wide cross section of colleagues. A focused and driven project manager, you will be comfortable working across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

    Further information

    This is full time, permenant position with a starting salary of £43,187.00 per annum.
