About the Role We are seeking an experienced research contracts and tender specialist to join our Research and Industry Contracts unit, which oversees the effective management of research contracting and tendering services across the university.
You will play a key role in identifying research tendering opportunities and manage tender submissions, through various platforms, including tender panels. The role encompasses managing tender panels ongoing requirements and communications both internally and externally, as well as supporting proposal development by coordinating tender responses with Researchers and internal stakeholders, project managing tender submissions, costing and pricing research projects, completing due diligence and risk assessments, pre- reviewing supplier contracts and providing advice on tender requirements and University policies and procedures.
As the Senior Officer, you will oversee the contract negotiation and execution process to establish successful tenders and will provide proactive support to ensure the effective management and successful delivery of awarded tenders. This position plays a pivotal role in assisting researchers and other professional staff to understand the complexities in tender panel management, response submission and contractual obligations whilst ensuring Swinburne's best interests are represented.
We are seeking a Senior Officer with proven experience in contract management and tendering processes as well as strong project management and customer service skills, with a demonstrated understanding of research management.
