  • About This Opportunity

    The Senior Administration Officer, Timetable Services, is responsible for administration services to support timetabling and class allocation operations and will also provide support to implement new initiatives which will contribute to the University's Strategic Objectives.

    Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate administrative support for the creation and publication of the University's class timetables, overseeing data validation, complex configuration, and semester scheduling.

  • Provide expert advice on class timetabling, allocation processes, and campus facilities to various stakeholders, including internal staff and external parties.

  • Supervise timetabling administration officers, ensuring adherence to service level expectations and deadlines, with the ability to deputize for the Coordinator (Operations) when necessary.

  • Offer day-to-day support to academic and professional staff on timetabling and room booking inquiries, along with providing training to system users.

  • Contribute to enhancing Timetable Services by participating in process improvement initiatives, including mapping, streamlining, and automation efforts.

  • Assist in reviewing and testing new system functionalities and undertake specific project tasks directed by the Coordinator (Operations), Timetable Services.

  • Possess a degree or extensive relevant experience, demonstrating leadership skills in delivering quality services, emphasizing client satisfaction.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in computer literacy, encompassing word processing, database systems, and specialized software applications.

  • Capable of working under broad direction, exercising informed judgment, and accepting responsibilities with a commitment to meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy.

  • Exhibit strong analytical and conceptual abilities, fostering a team- oriented problem-solving approach, alongside excellent organizational, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Demonstrate excellent communication and client service skills, building cooperative relationships with various stakeholders, and showcasing flexibility to work during peak periods or outside normal hours when necessary.

  • You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment and may be required to complete background checks including, criminal history and education checks.
