About This Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Officer, Corporate Affairs and Stakeholder Relations, based within Marketing and Communication, to contribute to the University's strategic engagement and communication programs.
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Manager, Corporate Affairs and Stakeholder Relations and the team to enhance the University's reputation with key external stakeholders including industry, government, corporate organisations, partners, influencers and the community.

Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Support the implementation of engagement and communication activities for corporate priorities and capital works, ensuring UQ maintains constructive relationships with key stakeholders and partners.
Develop a range of corporate content and assets to support stakeholder engagement for use across a range of channels and formats.
Undertake research to support corporate communication initiatives, developing briefs on organisational and public issues impacting UQ, its partners and stakeholders.
Assist with maintaining a whole-of-university reputational risk register.
Provide risk management support for key corporate initiatives.

About You
Tertiary qualifications in communication, public relations, journalism or related discipline with 4+ years subsequent relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training in the industry.
Experience working in a corporate communications team, on stakeholder engagement and reputation management practices.
Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders to support the achievement of business objectives through communication activities.
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written skills, including a demonstrated ability to write with clarity and precision for multiple audiences.
Knowledge of or experience in the Australian higher education sector is desirable, but not essential.
The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre- employment checks, including: right to work in Australia.
