We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Network Engineer to manage an
industry-leading network infrastructure environment.
As a key player in our dynamic team, you'll be at the forefront of managing a
sophisticated network environment, ensuring that our technology is robust,
efficient, and ready for future challenges. This is a unique opportunity to
work with the latest in AWS and Cisco technology, guiding projects that span
across our Curtin campuses.
As a Senior Network Engineer, you will:
Provide technical leadership, driving the design and implementation of
complex networking solutions.
Lead technology projects, offering expert guidance and high-level support.
Plan and implement capacity improvements and service continuity strategies
to ensure seamless business operations.
Mentor and develop team members, fostering a collaborative and high-
performing work environment.
Troubleshoot complex issues across a range of AWS and Cisco technologies,
including routing, switching, wireless, and IP telephony.
We are looking for someone with:
AWS Networking Expertise: In-depth knowledge of VPC configuration,
routing, and networking services, along with cloud security tools - AWS
Security Groups and WAF. Certifications such as AWS Certified Advanced
Networking – Specialty or AWS Certified Solutions Architect are
preferred.
Cisco Network Experience: Extensive experience with Cisco technologies
(LAN, WAN, VPN, Wireless), including identity management and
authentication (e.g., Cisco ISE) and Next-Generation Firewalls
(Cisco/Palo Alto). Relevant certifications, CCNP or CCIE are a strong
advantage.
Project Leadership: Proven ability to lead large-scale networking
projects and guide teams in a dynamic environment.
Automation and Scripting: Familiarity with automation tools
(Terraform, CloudFormation) and scripting languages (Python,
PowerShell) for network tasks.
Work Requirements:
Must have current work rights in Australia.
Based in Perth, WA . Relocation and sponsorship support are not
available.
Ability to work outside of normal working hours as required.
