Applications are invited for appointment as Senior Manager/Manager (at the rank of Administrative Assistant I/II) (several posts) in the School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 524245) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)
Applicants should possess a good university degree, preferably a Master's degree, with at least 10 years' work experience in the higher education sector or a related field. They should be excellent communicators with an exceptional command of English and Chinese; possess a strong sense of responsibility and strategic awareness; capable of working proficiently with significant independence; and be able to keep their subordinates motivated to deliver quality work under tight deadlines. They are also expected to possess a high level of decision-making, organisational, time-management and problem-solving skills, as well as an appropriate level of IT knowledge. Experience in undergraduate programme management would be an advantage. Those with lower qualifications and/or less experience may be considered for appointment as Manager.
The appointees will play a versatile role in leading junior administrative, executive and clerical staff in supporting a range of tasks, on or above operational level, such as undergraduate programme accreditation and management, curriculum reform, assessment, quality assurance and enhancement of undergraduate programmes, as well as provision of student-centred services in teaching and learning. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointments will come with a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary for Senior Manager, or up to 10% of basic salary for Manager.
