Applications are invited for appointment as Senior Manager/Manager (at the rank of Administrative Assistant I/II) (several posts) in the LKS Faculty of Medicine (Ref.: 526807), to commence as soon as possible, on a three/two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
Applicants should possess a good university degree with at least 10 years' work experience in the higher education sector. They should be excellent communicators with an exceptional command of English and Chinese; possess a strong sense of responsibility and strategic awareness; capable of working proficiently with significant independence; and be able to keep their team motivated to deliver quality work under tight deadlines. They are also expected to possess a high level of decision-making, organisational, time- management and problem-solving skills, as well as an appropriate level of IT knowledge. Experience in research strategy development, research grants and awards administration, and postgraduate programmes management is essential. Experience in events management, developing internal IT systems/applications, and/or involvement in research performance/impact-related initiatives would be an advantage. Applicants with less experience would be considered for appointment as Manager.
The appointees will play a versatile role in leading administrative, executive and clerical staff in supporting a range of tasks, on or above operational level, such as working with senior management on research strategy development; spearheading initiatives that drive research collaboration, excellence and impact; and managing postgraduate programme assessment, quality assurance, and enhancement. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview and written test.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary for Senior Managers and 10% of basic salary for Managers.
