The Opportunity
The Monash Graduate Research Office (MGRO) has an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Manager, Candidature Operations. This position will work closely with the Director and play a core role in delivering the University's research training strategy and operations; as well as managing a range of high quality strategic and operational services such as policy development and interpretation, program management and continuous improvement initiatives to drive the performance of this function.
As the successful candidate you will be responsible for contributing to strategic planning and the achievement of the Monash Graduate Research Office and university goals as a member of the management team. The Senior Manager, Candidature Operations responsibilities will also extend to leading and managing the operation of complex administrative or technical functions, as well as significant strategic projects, large scale review and development of policy and procedure, and complex compliance and quality processes. You will also lead and develop a highly trained team, ensuring graduate research students receive a high-quality experience throughout their student lifecycle.
This position is suited to highly experienced candidates that have postgraduate qualifications or extensive management experience and proven management expertise. The successful candidate will have excellent management and customer service skills with the proven ability to strategically manage and provide authoritative technical and policy advice at a high level. The successful candidate should also have outstanding planning and organisational skills, along with significant staff management experience and superior interpersonal and communication skills.
