We are seeking a dedicated Senior Lecturer as Year 5 Coordinator to lead and
support our students within their final year of the MBBS program.

Compensation: $134,904 - $$155,293 (ALC) + clinical loading + 17%

This pivotal role ensures the integration and excellence of teaching and
curriculum within the 5th Year of the MBBS program, aligning with the
Australian Medical Council (AMC) Graduate Outcome Statements and Curtin
University Graduate Attributes.
Key Responsibilities:
Engage in a leadership role to ensure collegial collaborative working
relationships across the CMS clinical years with Clinical Deans, hospital
placement officers, year coordinators, domain- and specialty leads,
teaching and support staff and the year 5 team.
Develop, deliver and revise teaching activities, including simulations and
interprofessional activities.
Develop, maintain and review the curriculum in collaboration with domain
and specialty leads.
Ensure learning materials and activities are contemporary, inclusive, and
meet the learning needs of the student cohort.
Design- and contribute to formative and summative assessments.
Deliver and review Year 5 workplace-based activities.
Contribute to the teaching and learning experiences and assessments for
other year levels as directed by the Associate Dean (Medicine).
Provide excellent and timely student support and deliver support
programmes for written and OSCE exams.
Our ideal candidate will have:
A degree in Medicine, with APHRA registration (highly desirable).
PhD or Clinical Fellowship qualifications are highly desirable.
Demonstrated excellence in teaching and learning, with a reflective and
innovative approach.
A track record of educational scholarship and success in securing
teaching-related grants.
Strong knowledge of pedagogical theories and contemporary educational
practices.
Proven experience in curriculum development and leadership in educational
initiatives.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on
cross-cultural interactions.
