Applications are invited for appointment as Senior Lecturer / Lecturer / Senior Professional Practitioner / Professional Practitioner in Entrepreneurship in the Faculty of Science (Ref: 526398) , to commence on September 1, 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter. The post will initially be made on a three-year fixed-term basis with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in science or a related field, with substantial teaching or practice experience related to entrepreneurship or business in science. For Senior Lecturer / Senior Professional Practitioner, a minimum of 10 years' experience after attaining the doctoral degree is required. Applicants with less experience but with at least 3 years' experience after their doctoral degree may be considered for the Lecturer / Professional Practitioner position. They should also have strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills; the ability to work independently and as part of a team; and capacity to work under pressure and multitask.
The appointee will be responsible for teaching, conducting tutorials, and providing internship supervision.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary. Housing benefits will be provided for Senior Lecturer and Senior Professional Practitioner, as applicable.
