This post-holder will be involved in undergraduate and postgraduate veterinary nursing course provision within the department, whilst also potentially supporting a range of other undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes within the University. The appointee will be based within the AHBW Department (Veterinary Nursing Section) and will work in collaboration with staff colleagues within Harper Adams University and the Harper & Keele Veterinary School.

To undertake this role, you must be:

• a Veterinary Surgeon (MRCVS) with at least five years post-registration experience, or

• a Registered Veterinary Nurse with at least five years post-registration experience.

The main duties will include:

• Contribution to the teaching, assessment, administration, and development of curriculum content related to the University's undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in veterinary nursing and related subjects.

• Participation in, and development of, the research activity of the department, particularly in veterinary nursing (pedagogy, natural and social science research) up to and including a standard suitable for publication in scientific peer-reviewed journals;

• Participation in the organisation, supervision, and assessment of undergraduate and postgraduate research projects.

• Marking and assessment of student assignments, coursework, examinations, and practicals.

• Involvement in the supervision of students during their placement period in practice.

• Participation in, and development of, the knowledge exchange and outreach activity of the department, which will include occasional weekend work (e.g., Open Days, public engagement events);

• Such other duties as requested by the line manager or Head of Department commensurate with the post and the salary range of the grade.
