ARU is a global university transforming lives through innovative, inclusive and entrepreneurial education and research. ARU holds a Gold award for the quality of its education, awarded through the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF).
ARU’s research institutes and four faculties bridge scientific, technical and creative fields.  We deliver impactful research which tackles pressing issues and makes a real difference to our communities.  Our academic excellence has been recognised by the UK’s Higher Education funding bodies, with 16 of our research areas assessed as world leading. We are the largest provider of Nursing, Midwifery, Health and Social Care students in the East of England, and we are also among the UK’s leading universities for degree apprenticeship provision, working with hundreds of employers across the UK.

About the Role:

In this role, you will contribute to the research activities of the Faculty, including through the production of internationally recognised research outputs. You will also be a key part of our teaching team, across a range of undergraduate courses, drawing on your own areas of expertise. This will involve designing and developing teaching material across a range of modules and courses across the undergraduate portfolio and, where appropriate, at both postgraduate/professional levels.

The successful candidate will join a vibrant and dynamic undergraduate team, and work across our Primary Education Studies courses. We are looking for someone who is familiar with acting as an academic tutor, module leader and dissertation supervisor.  Part of this role is contributing to planning and implementation of strategic areas such as student recruitment and retention.

Informal enquiries can be made to Dr Paula Daines, Deputy Head of School at [email protected]
