Your new role
Join Curtin University's prestigious Medical School in a pivotal role that
blends academic rigor with clinical excellence. We are seeking a dedicated
Senior Lecturer or Associate Professor in Radiation Therapy/Medical Imaging to
significantly influence the delivery and development of the Bachelor of
Science (Medical Radiation Science) program. This role is essential for
maintaining our high standards in teaching, research, and clinical training,
preparing students to excel as future professionals in medical radiation
science.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and innovate in teaching core and specialised units within the
BSc(MRS), involving foundation and advanced Medical Radiation Science
and Radiation Therapy/Medical Imaging theory and practice.
Contribute to course leadership and curriculum development ensuring
alignment with industry standards and accreditation requirements.
Foster research excellence and mentorship within Medical Radiation
Science, helping to expand our research capacity and impact.
Act as a role model and mentor for students, guiding them through their
educational journey and clinical placements.
We're looking for
A passionate educator with current registration as a Medical Radiation
Practitioner with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia
An experienced scholar with a doctoral qualification in Medical Radiation
Science or at least 10 years of recent clinical experience in a senior
role in Radiation Therapy or Medical Imaging.
Proven track record in high-quality teaching, research, and publication.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to engage effectively with both
academic peers and students.

The Curtin Medical School (CMS) includes the disciplines of Medicine,
Medical Radiation Science, Laboratory Medicine, Pharmacy, and Biomedical
Science. CMS forms part of the Faculty of Health Sciences and is affiliated

Selection Criteria:
A passionate educator with current registration as a Medical Radiation
Practitioner with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia

An established record of highly productive research outputs with regular
publication in high quality refereed academic journals.
An established record of obtaining research income.
Demonstrated academic leadership experience in the discipline/profession
and in community engagement.
Demonstrated high level communication and interpersonal skills with the
ability to foster the development of a collegial and supportive working
environment and the ability to interact with students and staff with cross
cultural sensitivity.
