Your strong communication skills enable you to effectively convey complex technical IT concepts to diverse audiences. You effectively manage competing priorities and can work successfully work autonomously.

    About the Role

    Reporting to the Manager: Student Lifecycle Systems, you will be responsible for designing developing, implementing, and supporting the Student Lifecycle Systems and provide technical leadership and advice to team members, managers, and key business representatives. You will lead all elements of the development lifecycle which involves project planning, feasibility studies, systems analysis, requirements definition, systems design, implementation, integration and testing, acceptance, installation, deployment, and maintenance of student-related systems.

    About Information Strategy and Technology Services (ISTS)

    ISTS provides primary strategic and operational responsibility for the UniSA's considerable IT infrastructure and services. The specialist teams within ISTS contribute to the University's strategic goals and objectives by providing University wide IT support for staff and students. The team is also the key provider for technical project management services for major, University wide ICT projects, and ongoing support, development, and management of all ICT infrastructure, policies, and processes.

    Essential Skills and Experience

  • Extensive relevant professional IT experience with PeopleSoft systems in a complex information environment
  • High level experience in the design, development and support of large corporate administrative systems
  • High level skills in the use of programming languages and development tools, such as SQL, PeopleCode and the PeopleTools platform
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and a high level of written skills
  • Cloud and integration platform experience is highly desirable
