This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

Are you an enthusiastic and experienced endpoint engineer looking for an opportunity to play a key role supporting and transforming end user infrastructure services for a leading UK university? Do you enjoy working through complex IT solutions? Are you passionate about IT and customer service? Do you have experience of introducing new technologies, developing operational processes, providing expert advice and guidance?

As Senior Endpoint Systems Engineer, you will play a leading role in ensuring that our Windows, Mac and Linux end user devices are stable, secure and configured to meet the requirements of the business. You will be a key contributor in driving forward development and implementation of process and policy standards, service offerings and projects impacting across the University. You will also take a leading role in the development of solutions for complex issues and problems.

As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for overseeing developments that support our business IT strategy, by delivering new and improved solutions to modernise our end user environments, enhance security, and improve user experience. You will utilise your substantial skills and experience in end user device support and management to improve our services and processes, ensuring they align to industry best practice, IT standards and regulatory compliance.

This is a hands-on technical role, with a focus on developing, implementing and maintaining modern device management technologies such as Microsoft Intune and Endpoint Configuration Manager, Jamf Pro and Azure Virtual Desktop. This will include responsibilities for improving endpoint governance and security controls. You will also provide subject matter expertise in areas relating to endpoint devices, and support and training to colleagues.

If you thrive working in a complex and varied environment this is an exciting opportunity for you to make a real difference in a world class organisation.
