  • About the Role In the role of Senior Cybersecurity Consultant, reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer, you will spearhead the establishment, implementation, and management of a comprehensive three-year cybersecurity program. Your mission is to ensure the University's digital environment remains secure, resilient, and adaptive to ever-evolving cyber threats.

    You will be responsible for designing and executing a multifaceted cybersecurity strategy that aligns with Swinburne's broader objectives. This includes overseeing the development and deployment of initiatives to protect sensitive data and enhance our overall cybersecurity posture.

    Your role goes beyond technical tasks; it requires strategic foresight and collaboration across teams. You will lead by example, cultivating a culture of cybersecurity awareness and accountability among your peers and team members. Working closely with the Cyber Resiliency Program Manager, your ability to envision a comprehensive cybersecurity roadmap and translate it into actionable projects will be essential in safeguarding our systems, networks, and sensitive information.

    About You To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Comprehensive experience in the running of complex multi-year cyber- programs.
  • Significant experience in the management and deployment of complex cyber security and resilience program of work.
  • Multi-perspective understanding to the development, carriage, marketing and implementation of cyber resilience solutions
  • Excellent stakeholder relationship management skills, including the ability to interact, influence, and manage expectations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels of the organization and conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Qualifications

  • Postgraduate qualification and proven expertise in the management of significant human and material resources and extensive relevant experience gained through working in a university, corporate or government environment.
  • Hold relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent.
