  • About the Role This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Curriculum Development Officer to join a collaborative team within the Academic Support Office, providing crucial support to the cyclic delivery and activities of the Faculty's degree programs.

    You will employ a high attention to detail, and strategic thinking, to provide advice and integrated support for the delivery of all faculty coursework academic programs. This includes curriculum management, contributing to committee approvals, processes, and services, and liaising closely with staff across the Faculty and University Services.

    This is an opportunity to showcase your strong interpersonal and data management skills, as you collaborate with academic and professional staff to deliver high-quality academic support services, and provide exceptional customer service.

    Your responsibilities will include:

  • Contribute to the coordination of curriculum development and revisions for the Faculty, including curriculum and Handbook maintenance and data configuration
  • Contribute to the ongoing maintenance of the Faculty's course and subject information, as it is recorded in University systems, ensuring that all Faculty information is accurate and up to date
  • Support academic staff through the course and subject change process with the use of the Curriculum Approval and Publication System (CAPS)
  • Provide policy advice to academic staff regarding curriculum matters
  • Provide analytical support and advice including the management of relevant data and reporting
  • Contribute to high-quality and timely service provision to key stakeholders, ensuring a consistent approach to service and administration delivery across organisational units
  • Who We Are Looking For We're in search of a highly motivated, dynamic team member with demonstrated stakeholder management experience, and prior experience working with University policies and procedures.

    A high degree of initiative and self-management to deal with the range of projects and tasks involved is critical to the role, and the ability to be self-motivated and flexible in responding to changing work priorities throughout the academic year.

    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential, enabling effective and positive professional relationships with a diverse range of people from across the Faculty and the University.

    You will also have:

  • A degree with subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated high-level organisation skills including the capacity to set priorities and work to deadlines in a busy and changing environment with competing demands
  • High-level analytical and problem-solving skills as evidenced by ability to identify needs and develop innovative solutions
  • Demonstrated experience in collaborating with and supporting committees, providing policy advice and presenting recommendations as necessary
  • Demonstrated experience in contributing to the development and maintenance of quality systems and processes

    This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
