  • About the Role As the Senior Coordinator, Monographs, you will play a key role in shaping and managing Swinburne's monograph collections to support teaching, learning, and research. You will provide strategic leadership in resource development and acquisition, ensuring the library's collections align with institutional priorities. With a focus on analysis, evaluation, and licensing, you will optimise budget allocation and library systems to deliver high-quality resources that enhance the university's academic experience.

    About You To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

    • Knowledge: Strong understanding of emerging issues, challenges and trends in collection development, acquisitions, licensing and management within an academic library setting. • Leadership: Highly developed leadership skills, including an ability to effectively lead, develop and motivate teams. • Communication: Highly developed interpersonal, negotiation and written/oral communication skills, including a demonstrated ability to initiate and establish good working relationships with key stakeholders • Workflow Development and Innovation: Extensive experience in designing and refining workflows, integrating new technologies or approaches to improve efficiency, and documenting processes for operational consistency.

    Qualifications The appointee will have: • Postgraduate qualifications in information management or a related discipline and extensive relevant experience and/or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and training. • Eligibility for associate membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA)
