Senior Conservator (Book & Paper)

Applications are invited for the post of Senior Conservator (Book and Paper) at Cambridge University Library.

The Senior Conservator (Book and Paper) offers critical technical expertise and project management skills to facilitate day-to-day conservation procedures as well as the implementation of exhibitions and loans. They work closely with other members of the Conservation team to facilitate the preservation of the Library's diverse collections. This role is essential to maintaining compliance with the University Libraries strategic initiatives in the Conservation Department, including the complex remedial treatment of collections using both preventive and interventive conservation measures.

You will have excellent attention to detail and a high standard of practical skills in keeping with professional and ethical standards of best practice. Your work contributes to the overall good stewardship of Cambridge University Libraries collections and helps to ensure that the Library is at the forefront of current thinking in the Conservation of cultural heritage.

This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday 36.5 hours per week, with actual start and finish times to be agreed.
