Working as a member of the Commercial and Portfolio Team, you will be responsible for the business analysis on a range of medium to high complexity IT related projects which link with the goals and ambitions of the University's strategy and objectives. This will involve supporting the selection and implementation of appropriate and effective IT enabled solutions to deliver business benefit to the University.
In consultation with stakeholders, you will be responsible for developing ideas through to Business Cases, showing the options available to address the business need and a cost benefit analysis.
You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements, to review existing services and determine where a new solution would be best to meet the needs of the University. Then, working closely with the Project Manager, you will support the delivery of the selected solution.
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will also play an important role in helping to drive the business analysis capability forward.
The PersonThe successful candidate will possess extensive previous business analysis experience, working on a variety of projects with varying levels of complexity.
You will have significant experience of:
- Business case creation, showing the cost benefit analysis of various options available to address the business need.
- Scoping, gathering and documenting requirements, market analysis, documenting requirements for procurement and supporting the implementation of a solution.
Projects in the portfolio predominantly involve the implementation of cloud- based and SaaS solutions. Therefore, experience with procurement processes would be beneficial.
It is key that you have excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills and are competent at working closely with project team members, technical and business stakeholders and are able to influence senior staff and key decision makers.
You should be willing and able to work across multiple projects at any one time and be able to self-manage your own analytical delivery within planned effort and cost.
