The Opportunity

As a Senior HR Advisor, you will have the opportunity to work within a broad HR team with a variety of expertise, from our generalists to our subject matter experts. Within this role you will also be working with Leaders across the University, which includes our Bentley, Midland, Kalgoorlie and Global campuses.
Reporting to Angela Williams, Manager, Management Support, within this role you will provide advice and support to line managers regarding a wide variety of people related matters. Initially, the key focus of this role will involve position management , role classifications and assessing job descriptions. Your role will be instrumental in assisting leaders to create positions, assess and classify positions across the University in accordance with our governance frameworks. This also includes engaging with external companies (who we hold strong relationships with) to assist with some of the assessment work.
Ideal candidates will have strong attention to detail and will enjoy and work well both autonomously as well as within a team. Liaising with customers/stakeholders is a very important part of this position, so we also are looking for someone with strong relationship management and communication skills.

We are seeking someone with strong HR generalist experience. Previous experience in the higher education sector would be ideal, however is not essential. Previous experience working with position management , including complex organisational structures, as well as classifying positions would be advantageous. Experience with the Mercer methodology would also be highly regarded.
You will be required to have a relevant completion of a postgraduate qualification with subsequent relevant work experience or extensive experience in a Senior HR Advisory role in a large and complex organisation.
