The role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Admissions Officer (Global) to oversee the processing of international applications from designated markets. Based at our Headington Campus, this pivotal role will involve acting as the primary contact for our Global Recruitment team, agents, and partners, while ensuring compliance with institutional policies and delivering a first-class admissions experience.

You will lead a small team of Admissions Officers and Associates, supporting their performance and professional development. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic, inclusive, and internationally focused environment.

What will I be doing?

  • Acting as the primary contact for agents and partners in designated international markets, providing expert advice on qualifications and market context.
  • Assessing and reviewing complex applications, ensuring compliance with institutional policies and sector best practices.
  • Supporting the professional development of Admissions Officers and Associates, including setting objectives, monitoring performance, and providing training.
  • Ensuring Standard Operating Procedures reflect compliance requirements for designated markets.
  • To lead an operational team to use the Admissions System (CRM Recruit) to process applications and record decisions accurately.
  • Delivering training for admissions staff and academic colleagues on qualifications and other market-specific developments.
  • Supporting the University's student recruitment activities, including Open and Applicant Days.
  • Contributing to the ongoing development of a fair and transparent admissions process.
  • About You

    You'll bring strong experience in international higher education admissions, with the ability to build relationships, manage a team, and assess applications with precision and fairness.

    Essential Skills and Experience:

  • A first degree (or equivalent professional qualification or work experience).
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Experience in higher education admissions, including processing applications from UK and international applicants.
  • Proven ability to manage or supervise staff, with experience in workload management and professional development.
  • Proficiency in database or CRM systems, with the ability to work efficiently and accurately.
  • Outstanding customer service skills, with experience working with internal and external stakeholders.

    The Admissions Office is central to the University's mission, ensuring fair, transparent, and efficient admissions processes that enable equitable access for all students. Our team processes applications from over 180 countries, working collaboratively with faculties, agents, and partners to deliver accurate and timely decisions.

    The role sits within the Marketing and Communications Directorate, which supports the University's strategic goals through unified marketing, communications, recruitment, and engagement activities.
