Senior Admissions Manager

Salary: Grade 8 (£45,585 - £54,395 p.a. depending on experience)

This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements

Are you committed to delivering exceptional service? Do you have experience of developing and maintaining strong relationships at a range of levels? Are you able to lead and influence people through effective communication?

The University of Leeds is one of the top 75 universities in the world. We have a truly global community, with more than 39,000 students from 170 different countries and over 9,000 staff of 100 different nationalities. Established in 1904, we have a strong tradition of academic excellence, reflected in first-class student education, along with world-leading research that has a real impact around the globe.

This is a senior leadership post within the Admissions Service that will have strategic responsibility for taught recruitment and forms part of the Integrated Student Recruitment capability which includes Marketing, International Office and Educational Engagement. Working alongside co-Senior Admissions Managers, the role provides leadership and management with joint responsibility for the strategic oversight of offer making for the Admissions Service.

Reporting to the Deputy Head of Admissions, this is a critical senior level cross-functional role, responsible for shaping offer strategies institutionally and leading the strategic work of a hub consisting of two faculties.

Key to the role is the ability to lead and develop an effective team of service managers. Solution focussed, you will devise and implement innovative and practical methods for supporting student recruitment and admissions service development and delivery. You will build and maintain networks internally and externally with stakeholders including but not limited to the Russell Group and its member institutions, Research Councils and UCAS. You will build positive working relationships, influencing and negotiating to bring stakeholders together to ensure alignment of activities to meet strategic priorities. Through the leadership of your teams, you will embed a culture of continuous improvement and will identify and implement opportunities to streamline and harmonise processes, to raise quality standards and improve the consistency of delivery to applicants and our University.
