  • About the role

    As the Senior Administration and Governance Officer you will be responsible for managing the administrative functions of the Curriculum Domain, including the various Governance Committees and formal Delegated Forums. This includes the coordination of multiple formal governance forums, setting meeting agendas, sourcing memos and developing presentations, high-level note taking, recording and follow up of actions, risks, decisions and guest management. You will play a crucial role in fostering effective communications, supporting key senior stakeholders, and contributing to the overall success and outcomes of the Curriculum Domain.

    Core Responsibilities

  • Provide confidential administrative support to the Leaders within the Curriculum Domain ensuring the overall presentation of work and maintaining a high and consistent standard.
  • Engage as an active member to formal committees, delegated forums and working groups, providing high level administrative and organisational support.
  • Prepare and edit high-quality correspondence, submissions, presentations, discussion papers and reports as required.
  • Undertake a wide range of Curriculum administration functions and processes, including monitoring of inboxes and coordinating responses to enquiries as required.
  • Essential Skills and Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent level of expertise gained from a combination of administrative experience, training or professional accreditation.
  • Demonstrated high level of tact, diplomacy and people skills and understanding of the requirement to maintain confidentiality.
  • Experience in supporting committees and governance forums, including the ability to work under pressure, make judgements about competing priorities, initiate appropriate independent action as necessary, give attention to details and be flexible.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills when working with a diverse range of people from a range of cultural backgrounds and levels within and outside of the university.
  • High level of organisational, communication and time management skills together with demonstrated resourcefulness and initiative to manage multiple priorities under broad direction.
