ECU Department of Campus Recreational and Wellness is currently seeking several Aquatics Program Assistants. Division Mission

Minimum Qualifications
· The ability to effectively supervise and communicate to employees and participants while maintaining a high standard for customer service. · Implement organizational and management skills as they relate to report writing and completion of appropriate paperwork. · A strong working knowledge and understanding of departmental policies and procedures. · Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Scope of Position
Aquatics Program Assistant Responsibilities: Positions responsibility can change as each semester progress
· Help with prepping CPR classes supplies as well as sending out emails to CPR candidates as well as Lifeguard candidates
· Assist Coordinator of Aquatics in Camps that will be here during the summer season
· Familiar with Microsoft Teams
· Keep track on items that will need to be restocked for CPR and lifeguard classes as well as items that are used by the athletic trainers
· Assist the Coordinator of Aquatics in day-to-day work throughout the week
Swim Instructor Program Assistant Responsibilities: Positions responsibility can change as each semester progress
· Stay up to date on American Red Cross WSI procedures and teachings
· Become familiar with the American Red Cross
· Work in collaboration with management to evaluate and make changes to program(s)
· Training and hiring staff
· Ensure families feel welcome and comfortable
· Keep track of lesson packages
· Keep track of group lesson progress reports
· Attend weekly marketing meetings
· Create and/or update lesson plans
· Reports to Coordinator of Aquatics and Risk Management with added guidance from Graduate Assistant of Aquatics and Facilities.
· Pay Rate: $11/hour
Preferred (Majors, Experience, GPA, etc.)
· Preferred Water Safety Instructor (WSI) Certification
· American Red Cross Lifeguard Certified
· Familiarity with Microsoft Teams
· Managerial experience
· Customer service skills
