Job Reference: 1241938 The Scholarships Office manages a portfolio of university wide scholarships involving the assessment and selection of applicants, payment, monitoring and reporting. Scholarships are part of Curtin's commitment to rewarding academic excellence and enabling students from all backgrounds to realise their potential. Your new role We are currently recruiting for a Scholarship Advisor , to join our vibrant team on a full time, fixed term basis until 27 June 2025 to support team members on leave.

In this role, you will deliver exceptional customer service, assist with scholarship and sponsor fee inquiries, and manage a portfolio of coursework scholarships and sponsorships from start to finish. Your expertise in policies, rules, and student support will enhance the student experience and connect them to opportunities that encourage their success.

In this role you will:

  • Provide high-quality, customer-focused service with timely scholarship and sponsor fee advice.
  • Create and promote scholarships, ensuring accurate representation on the website and promotional materials.
  • Coordinate and participate in scholarship application assessments, selection panels, and liaise with external sponsors.
  • Monitor academic progress and manage student requests for deferrals, course changes, and other adjustments.
  • Manage and reconcile student and sponsor accounts, ensuring accurate payment allocation.
  • Organise and attend scholarship recruitment activities and present to promote scholarship awareness.
  • We are seeking a driven, self-starter who will have the initiative to reach out to students and drive them through the scholarships process. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, with demonstrated experience managing competing priorities, tight deadlines, and a high workload.     Desirable:

  • Previous experience working in higher education.
  • Experience and demonstrated knowledge working with Student One system.
  • Additional Information:

  • Must have current work rights in Australia matching the tenure of the role.
  • Based in Perth, WA. Relocation and sponsorship support are not available.
  • In cases such as promotional events and presentations that may occur outside of normal office hours, ability to work outside of normal office hours is required.
