Are you ready to make a significant impact in a dynamic academic environment? The School of Clinical Medicine (SCM) University of Cambridge is looking for a proactive and organised HR/Reward Coordinator to become a pivotal member of our SCM HR Team.

We extend our support across various departments, institutes, and units within the School of Clinical Medicine. Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for reward and benefit inquiries.
  • Administer SCM reward and career development schemes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency which includes the co-ordination of senior academic Headships, Sabbaticals, and Retirements.
  • Provide administrative support to the SCM HR Team, including onboarding, assisting with committees, projects, and day-to-day operations.
  • Manage key events and promotional materials to enhance employee experience and engagement.
  • Offer support on employee relations issues including note taking.
  • Coordinate resource and workforce planning activities.
  • Provide administrative assistance to projects and NHS committees.
  • Aid in developing key HR messages and communications for the team and across the School.
  • Support wellbeing, equality, diversity, and inclusion initiatives, fostering a non-discriminatory work environment.
  • Collaborate with the SCM HR team and other university staff, representing our team in various meetings and initiatives.
  • Requirements:

  • Strong administrative skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work autonomously and handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Familiarity with HR best practices and employment law is advantageous.
  • Flexibility to work in a hybrid environment, with occasional travel to other sites.
