We are looking for a part time (14.6 hours per week) Residence Experience Receptions Supervisor to join our team. During term time, working hours are 9am-5.20pm, two days a week on Tuesdays & Wednesdays.
An element of flexibility is required outside of term time, especially during our busy summer commercial business period. During this period you may be required to work any 2 days out of the 7. Shift times will also vary at this time, on a rota basis, to cover the hours of 8am to 10pm.
This position receives a market supplement that will bring your pay up to the equivalent rate of pay for spine point 15 on the University pay scale.
We have over 4000 bedrooms - these are generally occupied by students during term time and operate as a hotel for short stays and conferences during vacation periods. We operate several receptions on campus and in the city who cater to these customers. This position would predominantly be supervising our City reception.
The Residence Experience team are responsible for ensuring outstanding service is delivered across all of our customer groups. This role supervises a small team of permanent and casual staff and you will be involved in their recruitment and responsible for their training. You'll work closely with your manager to ensure all of our receptions are effectively resourced and are providing a consistent service. You will need to confidently communicate with customers in-person as well as on the telephone and via email. This role also needs to form strong working relationships with other University departments and stakeholders such as Security.
You will have the ability to work in a fast paced environment with conflicting priorities. You will need to have previous experience in a customer-focused role and be able to demonstrate times that you've provided excellent customer service.
